Hello, this is our beautiful Maisy.
We adopted her from you many years ago now. When we first got her she growled quite a bit out of fear and wouldn’t let us near her if she was on her bed or had anything – food, treat, toy, something of ours… but as soon as she realised how loved and cared for she is, the nervous behaviour stopped. The food proud behaviour took a while longer but she is fine now.
We took her to obedience classes until she couldn’t go any higher. I now do agility with her and she absolutely loves it!! She is one of, if not the oldest, dog there yet she is one of the fastest!! We absolutely love her to bits and would not be without her. We snuggle up together all the time, and to think she wouldn’t let me near her when she was on her bed when we first got her as she would growl! She is my little shadow and I love taking her out for walks and to dog shows. She is my little angel and so loving. Thank you for uniting us.
Lucy later said:
I hope it shows other people thinking of rescuing that they’re not all perfect when you get them but with love and training the bond you create makes them perfect. People say to me now “Oh I wish all rescue dogs were as perfect as her then we’d rescue”, so I explain what she was like when we first got her in our home and they can’t believe it! Patience, love and time is all you need They all deserve the chance to find their loving forever home.
And in April 2014 we received this:
I thought you might like to know that Maisy won her class at Scruffts!!!!!! She won the golden oldie class and has qualified for Earls Court, Discover Dogs!! We are so unbelievably proud of her!! Cannot believe it!!
