“Hi” from Kenny!
Last month I discovered brownies are not only little square chocolate cakes when Maggie (my human “mum”) and Dawn took me to meet the 1st Great Horkesley Unit. The children gave us bedding and food for the animals as part of the Community section of their Girlguiding Uk Centenary Challenge. The girls were pleased to see us and after a chat about SESAW we had our photos taken with several of them including Izzy Jacobs.
We have many new arrivals including ten year old Lasa Apsos, Duchess and Donnie. Sadly their owner died but they are now both fully MOT’ed and ready for a loving home. We also have six cats including, Luna and Dumbledore, that came in together, also due to a bereavement. Young Ralphie, a feisty little terrier, needs a special home with experienced owners who have plenty of love, time and patience for him. Finally, please can the gentleman from Sudbury come back for William, a handsome four year old black cat as no one else wants him?
Many of you donate items which we really appreciate but others are not so kind. Recently a car load of rubbish and several unsavory mattresses were left at SESAW. We are always grateful for good quality clothing, bric-a-brac, furnishings etc but damaged, incomplete or stained things are useless. We have to pay for our refuse collection so to leave unsalable items actually costs us money that should be spent on the animals.
Our quiz night has been postponed but you can visit the SESAW stand at the Pet and Poultry Show at Hollow Trees Farm Shop, Semer, IP7 6HX, between 10am and 4pm. We will bring some cute SESAW animals, there will be a barbeque and you might meet me, Kenny (the Boss) Chihuahua.
