Welcome to SESAW, a registered charity devoted to the welfare of any needy animal.

WATCH OUT AND SLOW DOWN FOR WILDLIFE! Yesterday yet another young Roe Deer was hit by a car - this time on the A134 between Leavenheath and Stoke by Nayland around mid-day on the 19th September. A member of the public raced to SESAW for help, but luckily a passing Vet from Catley Cross surgery was already on the scene. Nothing could be done for the animal but to save it from it's suffering.

A wide variety of animals passes through our doors from local vets, members of the public and social services.   Many are abandoned, some are the victims of road accidents, most of them are looking for a new home, all are in need of care.

A willing band of volunteers devotes hours of hard work to looking after the cats, dogs, rabbits, wild and domestic fowl and pasture animals until new owners are found.   Those who cannot be re-homed due to age or health problems are either fostered or become permanent SESAW residents.

We hope you enjoy your visit to our website and look forward to meeting you at the sanctuary.
